Opportunities for Local Businesses

Cllr Jim Weir (Conservative, Great Denham), the Portfolio Holder for Environment, stated: “Bedford Borough is open for business, and this is another way our community of entrepreneurs and innovators is being supported.

The Resilience and Innovation grant offers an exceptional opportunity for Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to secure funding that can be used to bolster their companies. Whether it’s through strengthening their business performance, enhancing their ability to weather cost-of-living challenges, increasing innovation, or improving sustainability to support the transition towards a net-zero economy, this grant is here to make a difference.”

Apply Before the Deadline

With £1.9 million of government funding available and a deadline of Monday, 15 July, Cllr Weir urged businesses to get their applications in. “This is a unique chance to gain substantial financial backing that can help take your business to the next level. The maximum grant intervention through the programme will be up to 50% of eligible capital from £5,000 up to a maximum of £50,000.”
