How you can support our election night coverage

Introduction:

Once again, the Bedford Independent will be at the heart of the action on Thursday night and the early hours of Friday morning as the General Election count gets underway.

As ever, our co-managing editor, Paul Hutchinson, will be at the Bunyan Centre writing a live blog to keep voters up-to-date on not only the election results in North Bedfordshire, Bedford & Kempston and Mid Bedfordshire but also the by-election result in Wyboston.

As Bedford’s most trusted source of independent news, this year we’re also providing results coverage to the BBC, ITN and the Press Association.

Of course, there will be quite a bit of time to fill before the results are announced, so – as tradition dictates – Paul will be updating our readers on the range of snacks on offer, asking readers to help him pass the time by sharing pictures of their pets, and gauging the mood in the room (prediction: tense).
